ABOUT ME - Reuben Tomlinson is the brainchild behind the birth of Handsworth United and a young man with a vision. Professionally, Reuben is a Young Persons & Families Development Worker within a distinguished and highly effective community organisation situated in Lozells, Handsworth. Reuben has been working with the young people in the inner-city community for the past 7 years and his passion stems from the fact he himself is a ‘native’ of the community. Reuben is very passionate about the club and also about the future of the young people of the community and it’s that passion that is the driving force behind everyone at the club. Reuben is currently an academy scout with West Bromwich Albion and is a FA level 2 coach.

ABOUT ME - Sharren Sawyers is a special story. Previously, Sharren knew not the first thing about football. She was once just a loving mother who was looking for a club because her son wanted to play football. She came across HUFC at the time the club had just been ‘born’ and consented to her son signing up. From taking her son to training sessions and to the games Sharren developed a fast rising interest in the game and was determined to learn all about football. Since then she has not only learnt the game but has completed her FA Level 1 course and is about to embark on the Level 2. She also had enough confidence to take over as manager and coach of the U13 squad in the 2006-07 Season. They finished level on points at the top of the table and only a goal difference of 10 stopped her from being a winning manager in her first season. Now she’s a loving mother who knows quite a bit about football. Sharen has also become a qualified Youth Worker and ploughs her trade in the Handsworth and Aston areas in Birmingham.

ABOUT ME - Michael joined HUFC coaching staff in the 2006/2007 season after the first team folded in that same year,he went on to manage the under 12s winning the birmingham boys league cup double and the season after walsall legue div 4 league title,Michael is a level 2 football coach and is also a youth worker in the sandwell area.going into the 2010/2011 season he will be managing the under 15s team which displays good talent.

ABOUT ME -
Professionally, Jason worked previously within the supported housing field, however now he works as a Youth Project Co-ordinator in the Aston, Handsworth and Newtown areas of Birmingham. Jason decided to change careers as he had a desire to assist the young people who are facing enormous problems and barriers in their everyday life. Through his work he came to know about HUFC and immediately put himself forward to be a Coach within the club. Having had one full season as a manger under his belt he will now be trying to take the new under 13s to the next level .He himself is now a FA Level 2 Coach.

ABOUT ME - David kelly joined HUFC at the start of the 2008/2009 season,he showed a real intrest and enthusiasm for joining the club.During this season he assisted the under 12s team and became a reliable and ever present member of our Mini Soccer Academy,he will now be managing the under 10s team for the 2010/2011 season as his second season as a team manager.

ABOUT ME - Nathaniel Joined the club having being selected for our under 21s side in the 2008/2009 trials,he then volunteered to help out on the coaching side in that time he aquired his F.A Level 1 Badge and will soon be looking to do his level 2.Nathaniel has now excelled in his 1st season and will now be looking to take the under 13s to glory in the 2011/2012 season.

ABOUT ME - .David started as a parent activley attending and supporting his sons matches 2 seasons ago and after there was a gap left for a new manager to coach the under 13s he gladly stepped up.after having a season under his belt david will look to take his team on to the next level.David is a level 2 fa coach and brings vast experience.

ABOUT ME - .Ousman has been a member of handsworth united fc for the past 5 years as a 15 year old player to this date,as well as playing for the 1st team ousman will now take responsibility of managing a team for the st time though he has experience of coaching with birmingham city f.c where he was a scholar for 2 years.

ABOUT ME - .Carly joined handsworth united football club in 2010 as an assistant manager with the under 11s,she currently holds a F.A level 1 qualification and will soon be moving to do her level 2.Carly is also an ex West Bromwich Albion footballer and brings plenty experience having been at their academy for 8 years.this season she will look to continue to develop the new under 12s team and build on last seasons performances.

ABOUT ME - Louis Ijenwa is an IT Professional and has been in active IT services for over 10years. He also has a passion for business development having completed a Business Development training in Canada. Louis is a trained and UK Certified FA Level 1 coach and his vision is to promote and develop football in West Africa. Louis Ijenwa is currently the Handsworth United Football Club main representative in West Africa.
